The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
